This website is a private reference guide, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release a person, post bond, pull an official booking record, or change a jail or court entry. Use the official offices below for custody, release, bond, records, and court questions.
Official Offices to Start With
Barry County Sheriff's Office / Barry County Detention Center
94 Barry County Drive, P.O. Box 459, Cassville, MO 65625
Main phone: 417-847-6556
Jail questions and released-inmate information: 417-847-3461
Non-emergency dispatch: 417-847-3121
Administrative office and lobby: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Sheriff: Danny Boyd
The current official address is 94 Barry County Drive. Some older Barry County sheriff pages may still refer to 505 East Street, so confirm the counter location before visiting in person. The sheriff FAQ says police reports are usually ready in 5-7 business days and cost $5 per copy at the administrative office.
Monett Justice Center Police Department and Jail
1901 E. Cleveland Avenue, Monett, MO 65708
The Monett facility is a municipal police department and short-term jail. No separate public Monett roster was located in the research, so a person arrested by Monett Police may need to be checked through Monett Police first and then through the Barry County Detention Center roster if transferred to county custody.
Use the list below to choose the right records path for the question you are trying to answer.
- For a person currently held in the county jail, start with jail inmate records and the Barry County Detention Center roster.
- For booking photos on the sheriff roster or older photo requests, use jail roster mugshots and the jail records line.
- For charges filed after booking, search court records after a jail arrest through Barry County Circuit Court and Missouri Case.net.
- For a facility-specific question, use the facility pages listed in the footer for the Barry County Detention Center or the Monett Justice Center Police Department and Jail.
- For a sentenced Missouri prisoner, use the Missouri Department of Corrections Offender Web Search rather than the county jail roster.
- For a federal or immigration detainee, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator System; those records are separate from Barry County jail records.
For Missouri public-record requests, the relevant Sunshine Law provisions include RSMo 610.011, 610.023, 610.026, and 610.100. Those statutes address open-record policy, response timing, copying costs, and arrest or incident records.
